16yo Slovakian captures the mountainous beauty of his homeland

I feature a lot of photographers in my posts, many with years of experience and thousands of dollars of equipment at their disposal, so it’s nice to see someone whose natural talent rises above these prerequisites and speaks for itself.

Jozef Macutek is a 16yo who lives in the mountainous regions of Slovakia (yes I wasn’t too sure where that is either so I looked it up for you!). With a love of hiking around the rugged High Tatras mountains and beautiful countryside surrounding his home, it was only natural that Jozef picked up a camera at an early age.

After starting out with a small digital camera, he decided to get serious and he now uses a Nikon D7000 coupled with some second-hand lenses and filters. So far he’s managed to produce a fantastic portfolio and even turned some of his work into calendars.

Great work Jozef, and we look forward to seeing more of your stunning work in the future.
