Burning Man is on again in Black Rock City, Nevada – and once again it’s a dusty, hedonistic frolic in this temporary community in the middle of the Nevada desert for the tens of thousands of people who attend each year.
According to our friends at Wikipedia, it’s described as an ‘experiment in community and art, influenced by 10 main principles, including “radical” inclusion, self-reliance and self-expression, as well as community cooperation, civic responsibility, gifting, decommodification, participation, immediacy and leaving no trace’.
At Burning Man, the community explores various forms of artistic self-expression, created in celebration for the pleasure of all participants.
Below are a few random shots from Instagrammers at this years Burning Man, and if you’re wanting to see some of the incredible pop-up architecture they manage to erect for the event, then head to here and here and then here, also courtesy to Curbed.

The 30-foot tall twisting tower with inspiring sentences written by Burners around the world is partly funded by the Burning Man Arts Grant and is now running a #kickstarter campaign to complete its fundraising (link in @mamoumani's bio). | #burningman #brc #blackrockcity #playaart
I'm currently en route to the #playa for #BurningMan and am feeling nothing but grateful. I'll be playing a set Saturday afternoon at 2:30p for BM co-founder Larry Harvey and an amazing group of people who will be reflecting on the community’s ethos and culture and how it has organically developed since the event’s inception. )*( #staydustymyfriends #burningman2016 #blackrockcity #brc #festival #bm2016 #nevada #burn
Missed it this year, but next year? . . . .
