Hi-tech fabrics are giving way to Paper Couture – and Paris loves it!

Sylwia Lewandowska

In these days of high fashion on the streets of Milan, Paris or New York, Paper is reinventing itself and being reborn in the form of haute couture, presenting itself as an unlikely alternative to the likes of chiffon, silk and denim.

The protagonists in all the leading fashion capitals have for a long while dealt almost exclusively in the opulent and sophisticated materials we commonly see for all their dominant brands.

However, it seems that through some diligent research and development, Paper is now making a stand as the material de rigueur, especially for use as a ‘one-off’ single-use wear.

Let’s just hope it doesn’t rain!
