Every year National Geographic holds its competition for Nature Photographer of the Year.

Open to keen photographers from anywhere in the world, this years categories are: Landscape, Environmental Issues, Action and Animal Portraits.

‘We’re looking for Powerful photos . . ‘

‘Nat Geo are looking for photos that showcase the awe-inspiring and diverse natural world around us. That could be a powerful wildlife shot, a stunning landscape, or a look at a complicated environmental issue—whatever nature means to you.’

Winners are grinners!

Submissions have to be in by November 4th 2016.

The winner will receive the Grand Prize of a 10-day trip for two to the Galápagos with National Geographic Expeditions.

Each category will feature three winners: First Place: $2,500, Second Place: $750 and a signed National Geographic book, and Third Place: $500
