The artistic symmetry of Vietnams’ street vendors is beautiful

Dutch photographer Loes Heerink has come up with a brilliant idea – standing on bridges in Hanoi and taking pictures of street vendors as they cycle beneath her – with stunning effect.

loes-heerinkStreet vendors are usually up and going well before most of us, readying their wares and plying their trade, often all day and with very little to show for their endeavors as they try and make a little money to survive.

Loes decided to photograph them as intimate portraits, in an effort to bring them some recognition for their daily struggle and toil. She has a book in the process of being published with a little help from Kickstarter.

The results, I think you will agree, are truly beautiful.
