The ethereal world of fashion photographer Zhang Jingna

29yo Singaporean fashion photographer Zhang Jingna often takes her viewers on a melancholic, almost fragile journey with her beautiful fashion photography, and it’s easy to see why she’s on fast-dial to clients including Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Vogue and many major Photographic publications around the world.

Self-taught from the age of 18, Zhang aka zemotion initially started taking pics for fashion-designer friends, where her work first became noticed, eventually prompting a move to New York a few years later.

With works featured in exhibitions around the world including Milan, New York, Hong Kong, and Beijing, and now also teaching and producing her own books, it’s not surprising to learn that this young, go-getter was also a Commonwealth Games medalist and represented Singapore in ISSF World Cups along the way as a Rifle Shooter.

Jingna currently teaches a course on artistic portrait photography at Learn Squared. She is also producing the Motherland Chronicles artbook.

In her free time, Jingna enjoys Go, Gundam, Reddit, and Hacker News. Nice one!
